The weekly meeting of the Alpha Y’s Men‘’s Club of Char- lottetown heard Garth Crockett, public health educator for the Province of P.E.I. speak on the

Lab Technicians Meet In Ch’town

Laboratory technicians in the Charlottetown area met last eve- ning at the Charlottetown Hospi- tal to hear a very informative lecture presented by Dr. Burton Health. Doctor Howatt spoke on the practical aspects of the Prince Edward Island- publie health program, and exhibited specimens of various vaccines and toxoids currently in use.

Contrasted with the relatwely ancient smallpox vaccine were numerous others in various com- binations developed within recent years. Especially i was the fact that the Salk polio vac- cine is now available combined with ‘the triple vaccine common- ly given to young children.
