On behalf of the UPEI Busi- ness Society, we would like to say welcome back to the returning students and greeting to all the new Frosh.

Last year, the Business was the largest society on campus. This year, with the number of memberships that we’ve been selling, we’re on our way to meet- ing that goal again.

A special congratulations to Pam, the newest member of the Executive. _

Well, for anyone who didn’t get to the event last weekend, you missed some wild times.

The kick-off event was the fa- mous Golf-tournament, held on Friday. With the help of some very large golf bag pockets and a portable thermos or two, many of the golfers were in fine shape as they came down the 18th fair- way (That means you, Palmer). We would also like to thank Don Carr for letter us use his cottage for the awards presentations and party afterwards.

On Saturday, the annual Deep Sea Drinking excursion took place in Rustico. Again, ev- erybody had a great time, with maybe one exception. It seems that one of the golfers from Fri- day was not feeling up to “par” and had a rough trip on the way out to sea (Sorry Paul). Even a couple of couple of monsterous sharks were caught, the largest (25 ft) belonged to Derrick “Get it away from me!” ~Cameron. A special thanks goes out to our honorary skipper, Ad Ferris, who helped us catch a bucket of mackerel at our last stop of the day. Professor Ferris also hosted a barbeque at his home Saturday evening for all those involved.

At both events, we were happy to see a good mixture of all students attend (Freshman to Seniors).
