MONTREAL, (0Pi- A coroner's jury Tuesday retumsd a verdict of murder in this death of an un- identified man whose dismem- bered torso was found in an east- end lane last Oct. 28. The inquest cleared the way for burial of the man today.

Dr. Rosario Fontaine, it medics- lrgal expert, was the chief wit- nes at. the hearing. He testified that bhe. victim was killed with a bullet through the heart before the mtndercr sawed off the victim's hands -head and feet.

The head and the feet. were found later near Jolietie, Que. 50 miles north of Montreal. The vic- tim's hands are still missing.

Police circulated pictures of the man following the discovery of his head but he never was identified.

Dr. Fontaina said the man hsd been lrlllul within 36 hours of the time he was found. He said tests also showed that he was in a mild state of intoxication at the time of his death.

He said the victim was about 40 years old, five feet 015 inch!-s tall and weighed about 100 cu.-ids.
