11. ltssotrt-:12, That a sum sullicient be placed at the disposal of the Executive, to defray the Contin- gent Expenses ofthe Legislative Council and House of Assembly, and the Expense of Fuel for the Colo- nial Building, for the present year.

12. lhrsotraii, That there be granted and placed at the disposal ofthe Lieutenant Governor in Coun- cil, a sum sullicient to defra the amount ofdraw- backs payable by Law during the present year.

I3. Resoucu, That the sum ofOne hundred and Twenty-eight Pounds Five Shillings and Six-pence be.granted, being the amount contracted for the re- pairs of VVinter Roads, during the present year.

RESOLVED, That a sum sullicient be granted and placed at the disposal of the Lieutenant Gover- nor in Council, to provide for the payuient offour Constables to attend the Hilary and Trinity terms of the Supreme Court, held in Queen's County; and for the attendance of two Constables at the several Su- preme Courts in King’s and Prince Counties; and two C0":-lttI)ICS for the Easter and Michncliiins terms of the Supreme Court, in Queen’s County, at the rate ofTlirce Shillings per day.

I9. ltssotrsn, That the uncxpended sum of last year’s appropriations for the Royalty ofGeorgetown, be applied to the erection of a Ferry Slip, to be placed on the Cardigan Shore, at the end ofthe road to be opencd, separating the Common of Georgetown frotn the Royalty, to run from Pat-ker’s along Flanagan's to Cardigan.

‘ll. Ru-oLvmi, That there be granted and placed at the disposal ofthe Lieutenant Governor in Council, a sum sullicient to defray the allowances provided by Law to be paid for the encouragement of Education.

Itltsotrt-:1), That the sum of Twenty Pounds be placed at the disposal ofthe Executive Govern- incnt, towards defraying the balance due for con- structing the Roads and Bridges in the Third Elec- toriil District of Quccn’s County, according to the scale agrecd on when the House was in Committee on Roads and Bridges.

26. Ilssotritn, That the sum ofT|iirty Pounds be granted to the Executive Government, towards finish- ing the repairs and painting ofthe Old Court House, or as much as may be required.

27. ltssotrno, That the sum of Two hundred Pounds be placed at the disposal ofthe Government, to defray the expense of erecting Slips and building protecting Blocks and repairing VVharf, Charlotte- town Ferry.

Rssotrsn, That there be granted and placed at the disposal of the Lieutenant Governor in Coun- cil, the sum of Five hundred Pounds, to be paid to any person or persons who shall, within two years from this time, by Boring, or otherwise, discover a Bed or Scam of C‘-oals in this Island, sullicient in ex- tent to supply the Inhabitants ofthis Island with fuel, to the satisfaction ofthe Government.

32. RESOLVED, That there be placed at the dis- posal of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, the sun of Two hundred Pounds, or as much thereof as may be necessary, to be applied to the establishment

of a Marine Light on Bougliton Island or Pan- mure Island; and that a like sum, or as tnuch there- of as may be required, be granted and placed at the disposal of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, for a similar Light, or Harbour Light, at the entrance of Richmond Bay; and that, in the tneaiitinie, the Gov- ernment be requested Qcominunicate with the Com- missioners for Light Houses, in Nova Scotin, witlitlie view of ascertaining the practicability of using Kero- sene Gas for such Lights, in accordance with a plan recently subtnitted to the Legislature ol Nova Scotia y Dr Gesner, which obviates the necessity of hav- Ing expensive buildings for Light Houses.
