The body had a five inch lacer- ation at the right hip, brush burns on hip, arm face and upper part of the back. The right arm was fractured near the shoulder and a one inch cut ovcr the right eye. Blood was present. in cars, nose and mouth. Fracture at the base of the back of the head caused ex- tensive lacerations to the brain and spinal chord. Witness stated that his opinion was that death would be instantaneous. from brain damage due to 'skull injury. In reply to a question by Mr. Nicholson. his opinion was that the deceased had been facing the direction of the blow. the lacerat- ions on the front of the head had been paused by a sharp object. and the injuries at the back of the head were compatible with striking the road.
