For more than 20 years he has been a lay reader in the Anglican church and chief councillor of the 000 Indians on the spamsh river rescrvation, 76 miles west of Sud- bury. Ont. Wattcrworth. who preached very ably on the subject of ”Chnist's Program for His Church." The Cottage Prayer meeting which was held at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Earl Chappell on Tues- day evening. March 3rd. was well attended. and a good number par- ticipated in the devotional period which was led by Mr. Lionel Rob- inson. The pastor, Rev. M. Wat- terworth, gave it very helpful mes- sage on "The Parable of the Sow- er." The hymns sung were: ''on- ward christian Soldiers." "Take Time to be Holy" and "Who It the Door is Standing." A Monthly Meeting

The March meeting of the Presbytery of P. E. I,'took place on Tuesday in the Hall of Zion Church with the Moderator, the Rev. Donald Nicholson in the chair and the clerk, Rev. '1'. H. B. seniors at the desk.

The following ministers were also present: Rev. G. C. We-beter, Rev. F. N. Young, Rev. D. A. Campbell. Rev. J. D. Macxay. Rev. E. S. Hales, Rev. M. C. Currie. Elders present included Mr. W. C, Low- son. Mr. J. A. Macfnnis, Mr. Mur- doch MacPhee. Mr. R. R. Hurst. Mr. A. A. MacDonald, Mr. Preston Campbell. Mr. Ira Auld. Mr. E. A. Macfnnls. Mr. H. G. Reid, Mr. Jar. Marchbank and Mr, Everett Hardy.

The sympathy of the court was expremed in the death of Mr. A. E Morrison. Mrs. J. K. Fraser, Mr. Donald Baker, Mr. R. G. Mic- Laren, Dr. David Macxenzie, Mr. Webster's mother and Mr. Nichol- son's brother.

A Call on belialif of the Marsh. field Charge was presented in favour of Mr. Lee M'ncNaughtnn who is to graduate from The Presbyterian College next monlth. This call was sustained and order- ed sent on upon receipt of certifi. cate of liceusure. It is expected Mr. MacNaughton. following his ordination in Halifax, will com. mence his work here in May.

Junior League Monthly Meeting

The ruular rrwnthly bunineu meeting of the Junior League of Charlottetown I-loopitsl was held on and the treasurer's report were read deuce.

This meeting, which was opened with prayer by the President Mrs. Also Mclsaac. was attended by thirty-eigtht members.

The minutes of the last meeting and the treasurers report were,read and adopted. The various corn- mittees reported progress in all undertakings, and iihe sewing com- miiitee reported that 231 articles were already completed this year.
