been in 111 health and hardly out of the house except to the hospital for the last two years. During the summer months he manages to get around I bit but in winter has to stay put. We are glad to know that the horsemen remember him, call- ing frequently. His son, Roy, who did so well with Wllkln 2.08. has that good pacer in his stable and My Pride, a horse he got in trade for Miss Alice Guy last fall -when he was here. Roy thinks this one will make a good pacer. He is by a son of Volomlte and his dam by a son of Blngen, then he goes back to Captain Aubrey. Both horses are reported in excellent shape.

Mr. Oland informs us that dur- ing the winter they had ice racing on Llngan Bay and the trottcr Gertie Reamore locked the best over the frozen surface. She has been traded recently to Clayton MacLeod of Westville, N.s.. owner of Iola Henley. One of Mr. 0land's favorites, Robert Baldwin. raced over the ice here last winter and gave a good account of himself. He also owned Helen Signal, that Roy marked in 2.19 31:).

, At the annual meeting of the lsurnmerside Golf Club which was held in the Town Hall on Thurs- day evening. Mr J. K. Curran was, on the motion of Mr. Arthur Allen and seconded by vice presi- dent E. P. Foley. accorded the office of honorary presidcnt and a life nio.nbershlp in the club. This was in appreciation of his great interest in the activities of the club.

The prcridcniy Mr. Harold F2. Gaudct, presided at the meeting and his report of the year's activ- ities clearly indicated that the past year was a most successful one. The amount of the mortgage was considerably -reduced and the whole property. course and club- house ronovzitcd.

There were 140 members playing last year. forty ladies and one hundred men. of which some thirty were R.C A.F. personnel. The dues to R. C. A F. personnel were raised five dollars this year. with the others rcmaining the same.
