The names of two good and sufficient men, willing to become bound for the faithful performance of the Contract, will require to accompany each Tender.

a Preventive Ofliccr and Land Waiter for Charlottetown, in terms of the Act of 19th Victoria Cap. 1.
His Excellency in Council has also been pleased to appoint Mr. JAMES EDWARD SAMUEL BAGNALL, a Measurer and Weigher of Grain and Pulse for Charlottetown, in terms of the Act of 25th Victoria Cap. 14.

" IS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, in Council, was this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the invoice of dutiable Goods imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows : In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents 0t tne paper currency ot the United ‘c‘tates, the amount of such invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island by al- lowing for each Dollar the sum of Four shillings and eight pence, and in thelike proportion for any fraction of a Dollar,——of which all Collectors of Impost are to take notice, and govern themselves accordingly.

‘IIE Subscriber will sell by Public Auction. to the lowest bid— der, on Monday, the 8th day of May next, commencing at 9 o’clock, a. m.. at the line of Lot No. 18, in Irish Town Road, to Kensington; at 11 o’clock, same day, the Road from Kensington to Blue Shank; at 1 o’clock, same day, the Main Western Road, from Jepp’s to Townsend's Mill; at 6 o’clock, the new Road from Townsend’s Mill to Jamieson’s.
On Tuesday. the 9th, at 9 o’clock, the Main Western Road, from Townsend's Mill to the line of Lot No. 17; at 2 o’clock, same day, the Bridge at Ilayner's; at 4 o’clock, same day, the Road from Townsend's to Reid’s, and Bridge at Hogg’s Brook.
On Wednesday, the 10th, at 9 o'clock, the Road from Reid’s to the line of Lot No. 17; and at 10 o’clock, the Causeway at llilson’s; and at 1 o’clock, the Bridge at Hacker’s; at 2 o’clock, the ltoad dividing Lots Nos. 10 and 25.
