Annual Meeting At Tignish Shore
~The annual meeting o! the St. Thomas Aquinas Society was held on Thursday. May 12th at 7.30 p.m. Despite the inclemency of the weather there werc 38 members present. Mrs. Ferdinand Gallant. president. opened the meeting with prayer. Mrs. Gerald Gallant read the financial report for the put year.
The guest speaker for the oc- casion was Mr. J. H. Blanchard. gcnorul president of the society for the Province. Mr. Blancharrfs ad- dress was most interesting. He re- viewed th» history of the society and encouraged the officers and members to continue their splen- did work in the Interests of educa- tion. He also congratulated the district for their splendid school and fmc oquipmcnt.
