52. lane late Mr. Doyle, who was born at Point De Roche. P.E.l.. was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.

It. Do le. J0.Tu5h", :5 was familiarly known througho t Savase H3150? and surrounding districts. had been ailing for the past three years. De- spite this fact. his many friends. Mm young and old were greatly shocked and saddened by his sud- den death.

Mr. Doyle, after a four week per- iod gpent in Charlottetown Hospi- tal. returned to his home on De- ,.em.im- 3, 1951, where he was ten- derly cared for by his wife and all members of his devoted family. excepting that of two married daughters and one unmarried son. all of whom reside in Ontario.

On January 2nd. Mr. Doyle's con- dition became worse and as the day faded so did his strength and life. In the late afternoon he was visited by his pastor. the Rev. Fr T. Campbell, who administered the last rites of Holy Mother Church. of which Mr. Doyle was a devoted member.

He leaves to mourn. his beloved wife. eight sons. four daughters. one brother two sisters and three grandchildren.

The largely attended funeral. which was held on the morning of January 5th. procccdcd from the deccased's late residence to st. Ai:drew's Church. where a Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the row. Fr. T. Campbell. who also of- ficiated at the grave.

The Junior Women's Associa- tion of Trinity United Church met on Wednesday evening in the West Parlor. for their regular monthly meeting. The President. Mrs. Fred Gamble presided.

The meeting opened with the Scripture reading by Mrs. Harold Forsythe. followed by prayer by Mrs R. H. Pitt. A substantial do- nation was given to the Sunday School for the establishment of a reference library for the teachers. and plans were made for a. Bath- cr and Son Banquet to be given for the Cubs and Scouts of,Trinity Church on February 22nd. Following the business meeting a very informative talk was given by Mr. E. D. Nichols who is a psychiatrist with the Department of Health and Welfare. Mr. Nich- ols spoke briefly on the work now being done at Faiconwood Hospit- at

He then showed a film dealing with problems arising among chil- dren and a discussion followed.

Mr. Nichols was introduced by Mrs. Lewis Turner and thanked by Mrs. George Ayers. Lunch was served by the Hungabee Group.

MR. ORA BARRY SAMUEL

Friends and relatives of North Tryon and vicinity. as well as New Waterford. C.B.. were shocked to hear of the sudden death of Mr. Ora Barry Samuel which occurred at Prince County Hospital. Sum-' merside. P. E. I.. on December 23, 195i. The deceased was born in Port Hood, C. B.. August 31st. 19il.

He came to Prince Edward Is- land in the spring of 1948, where he worked with Curran Ac Bricszs Co. for the past two years. Mr. Samuel leaves to mourn. his sor- rowing wife. the former Jean Muirhcad. North Tryon. P.E.f.: his mother, Mrs. Andrew Samuel. New Waterford. C. B., and the following brothers and sisters: Pearl (Mrs. Tom Cameron): Patricia (Mrs. Everett Durdlci: Olga and Robert. all of New Waterford. C. B.: Jean I'I Kentvillc, Nova Scotia: Duffney in Hamilton, Ontario, and Wallace in the army, now stationed at Halifax, N. S. His father. Captain Andrew Samuel. predeceased him seven years ago.

The funeral was held December 26th from North Tryon Presbyter- ian Church. The service was con- ducted by Rev. W. Killam of Tryon and Rev. D. M. Fraser. Bedeque. The remains were transferred to New Waterford. C. B.

The afternoon session was tak- en up with the reports of the committees and other routine business.

The meeting adjourned at 5.30 when the ladies of Queen Mary L. O. B. A. took over and in due time had a. table the length of the lodge room set up. laden with practically everything the appe- site of man could wish for.

This thoughtful act was very much appreciated by the visiting members for instead of driving to the different homes on a cold winter. evening they gathered around the old hall stove. while Bro. George Beer who has been a member of King William Lodge for almost fifty-six years, piled on the fuel

After supper was over the meet- mg again got down to business. The District Master. in the course of his address, dealt with many matters pertaining to the welfare of the Association.

Reports given by the other of- ficers showed the order to be in healthy condition financially and otherwise. During the past year contributions had been made to the P.-E. I. Orphanage and the Salvation Army Band. Arrangements were made for visitation: during the coming year, and also for a church ser- vice and parade.
