Tus Grir iy Marve —The rural population of Muine have had some severe experiences during the epidemic of the grip. All of the family of Jamea W. Koight, of Northport, were sick at one time, and, there being no one to go for assistance, @ signal of distress was hoisted, as on a ship at sea. The sigoal was observed by some passers-by on the neighbor- ing highway, and the sufferers were relieved, In some cases, where whol families have been down with the grip, the cattle have gone un- fed for days at a time, and many people have died in remote localities for want of even the siinpiest reraedies.
