Have five small sponge cakes (or use a round sponge cut up); two ounces of butter; niree table- spoons of fruit juice marmalade, three eggs: three quarters of a pint of milk; one ounce of sugar.

Have a pie-dish well greased. of sponge cakes

Put in a lnycr spread wlth marmalade and place pieces of butter between. Beat

the eggs. milk and sugar, add the fruit juice, pour over time cakes. and lP-‘HT’. to soak for a few min- utes. Hell- one ouncc of butter. pour on the topatlzen dust over with castor sugar. Bake in a good oven for thirty minutes. The dish must. be ire-ll greased in order that the pudding should tum out easily.
