The Stunmeraida Golf and Coun- try Club officially opened yester- day afternoon. About iso men and women attended the open- lng of the fine new club house and enjoyed an afternoon tea serv- ed by the ladies organisation of the club.

The golf course itself was a busy place thorughout the afternoon as many members took advantage of the opportunity to play their first golf of the season.

Dickson baited in the bonds of holy matrimony, Miss Corrie Alice Brooks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Trueman Broks of West Cape. and Mr. Neil Richard De- laney. son of Mr. and Mrs. James Delaney of Brae.

The vvinsome young bride, who looked the picture of girlish love- liness was attended by Mrs. Led- well Doyle of Charlottetown, sis- ter of the groom. while Mr. Earl Brooks, West Cape. brother of the bride was best man.

Mr. and Mrs. Delaney are two of the most popular young people of the district and they have the good wishes of a multitude of friends for a long and happy wedded life. They will reside in Brae where the groom is a sue cessfui farmer.

-The funeral service for the late Mrs. Richard Wood of Cole- man was held from the residence of her son Fred in Coleman on Tuesday afternoon, June 17th, and was conducted by her minis- ter, the Rev. W. G. Dickson, who was assisted by the Rev. C. O. Howlett, and the Rev. Roy Mac- Naught. The main service was held in the Bethei United Church. which was packed to overflowing by neighbors, friends and rela- tives of one who was known and

loved by all. Favorite hymns were sung by the choir with Mrs. E. L. Mac-

Dougall as organist. A comforting message was brought by Rev. Mr. Dickson. He paid a sincere tri- bute to Mrs. Wood, who was in her 87th year. as a devoted mo- ther, a faithful wife. a kind friend and one who knew and served Christ. The minister was assisted by Rev. Roy MacNaught. Rev. C. 0. Hewlett and Mr. Hcher H. Hardy. Interment was in the Bethei United Church cemetery.
