John Parnell, a brother of the late Irish leader, lives on a little farm just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, where he makes a living cultivating fruit trees. There were twelve children in the Parnell family, six of whom are dead. .
The Methodist Witness prints a list of the Canadian delegates in attendance at the Methodist (Ecumenical Council at Washing- ton. Amongst the number we notice the name of W. E. Dawson, Esq., of Charlotte- town. Rev. William Lawson, ef F. '.S. Island, is present as a visitor.
A cunragantinn of the St. John Sun, commenting about men and things in © lottetown and P. E. Island at large, writes : “The quaint old church of St. Paul’s, with its high galleries, pulpit and pews quite takes one back to the old time. Only the heads of the congregation are visible above the pews during the sermon and part of the service, while some people are evtirely lost to sight. The Rev. Mr. Hamiyn, rector, gave a delightful ad- d-ess to young Christians on Sunday even- ing. It was indeed a privilege to listen to such 21 evangelical sermon, delivered with such teader simplicity and_ with such pathos. Mr. Hamlyo is from England.
