Tux barquentine “‘ Ethel Blanche,” owned by Messrs. Peake Bros. & Co., encountered very heavy weather on her recent p+ssage to Liverpool. The captain reports that on the 4:h ult., an ordinary seaman—Charles Owern—azed eighteen, fell overboard and was drowned. On the 7th, at two o'clock a, m., lat tade 48 north, and longitude 30 we t, they experienced a very heavy gale. The vessel shipped a sea aft which carried away half the whee!, and Michael Ureamer, the first mate. It aso carried off the binnacle and compase, broke in the companion doors and burst the skylight, and also carried away part of the deckload and ne of the fywheels of the pump.
