The President, Mr. Wm. Darlce, Hunter River, opened the business part of the meeting by calling on the secretary-treasurer to read the [cpcrt and financial statement of the last convention. $55.00 was raised for the work oi’ the MR-E/J. These were on motion duly sec- onded and agreed to.

The speaker. Rev. John Jarvle of Summer-side was at this time ln- troducrd and welcomed to the cou- venilun by the president. Rev. Mr. Jarvis firs: gave a statement on the work of the M.R EC. The MILE c. seeks to aive and t0 [rain {hose \.ho have no other religious training; the success of the M R E C. depends on all.

Postwar Adjustment

It's interesting to note that members or the poultry industry are grouping together, planning post-war adjustment in advance of post-war years. Vigor, enterprise and sales initiative are needed in any industry. Throughout Can- ada. poultry industry committees have been formed and are actively engaged in mapping the course of their industry. A meeting of the P. E.l. Poultry Industry Commit- tee was held at Charlottetown on December l9. It was decided to send delegates to the inltinl meet- ing of the Maritime Poultry Coun- cil nt Moncton on January 30-31. A campaign for funds is at ores- ent in progress-it is meetng with success.
