--DEATH OF ME. ROBERT CROZIER.-The death of a well known and very successful farm- er; Robert Crozier, occurred at his home at Kelvin Grove early Mon- day mornlng. March 23rd, almost immediately following a stroke. The late Mr. Orozier had been in his usual good health and his passing came as a distinct shock to family and friends. He is sur- vived by his wife. nee Mary Marohbank. and one son, Lorne on the homestead. Mr. Henry Crozier, Wilmot Valley. and Mr. George Crozier. Hamilton, are bro; thers. -SAD NEWS RECEIVED -Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gorrill. Summer- slde. received the sad news on Fl”- day night that their grandson. Grant Thomas. age 6 1-2 years. son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth ii. Thomas (nee Marjorie Gorrilli, Walkerion. 0nl., had died in hos- pital there after a tonsilitis oper- ation. According to information received by phone by Mr. and Mrs Gorrill. the young lad had come out of the operation successfully but complications had set in later in the day and death had occur- red that evening. Sincere sympatliy is extended to the bereaved par- ents and grandparents on the death of their only son. The young lad had spent his summer vacation with his grandparents in Sum- merside and was a general favor- ite with all who knew him. Mrs. Gorrill left on Saturday by plane to be with her daughter and son- in-law.

Alberlon lady Dies While In The U. S. For Funeral

-The death of Mrs. Edwin 0. Arthur of Albertoii occurred in n Worcester. Mass. hospital on Sat- urday, March 28th. In company with other relatives. Mrs. Arthur had motored to Worcester last week to attend the funeral of her brother, the late Mr. Robert Hardly on Wednesday. That eve- hing she suffered a severe stroke and was taken to hospital where she paged away on Saturday.

Mrs. Arthur was formerly Miss Bertha Hardy. a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hardy of Elmsdale. She was sixty-nine years of age. About fifty years ago she was married to Edwin C. Arthur. who survives her. They have seven children. Mrs. Leigh Weeks Agnes) of Alberton. Ro- bert o Sunimerside. James on the homestead, John of Ailborton Mrs. Wal-fer Haywood (Evelyn) of Moncton. Mrs. John Bearisto IBea- tricei of Darnley. and Mrs. Pres- ton Bcaristo (Thelma) of Alvberton. Also surviving are a number of grandchildren and 'the following brothers and sisters: Elijah Hardy of Worcester, Mass.; Irving Hardy of Elmadale; Haber Hardy of Winsloe; Mrs. Leslie McMillan (Bessie) of Roseibank; Mrs. Harry Barbour of Alma and Mrs. Har- vey Adasns (Edith) of Knutsford.

Mrs. Arthur was a devoted wife and mother, a kind and hospitable friend. She was a member of Eimsdale United Church and held a firm Christian faith.

For a number of years she serv- ed in many homes as a competent practical nurse.

Her body is being conveyed home for burial and is expected to ar- rive by motor hearse this (Mon- day) evening. Funeral arrange- ments had not been completed.

March 18th when. after, having serviced a car with gasoline. he returned to the office and attempted to re-fuel the stove when his clothing caught fire in quickly enveloped him in flames. Due to the quick action of Messrs. Randolph Maoxinnon and Thane Yeo. who entered the office at that time. his burning clothes were torn off him and the the ex- tinguished. Jim was immediately given aid by Dr. Burieigh and later moved to the Health Centre where he was a patient until Monday. March 23rd -

are visiting Summersidc on a specialist navigation flight from the Royal Air Force Flying Col- lege in Mamby. England.

The flight is under command of Wing Commander W. J. Burnett. a. native of Newcastle, N. 13.. and now a member of the R. A. F.

The five big aircraft in this group are expected to leave Sum-

erside on Tuesday evening on a non-stop flight to their. home base in Emgland.

These aircraft are said to con- taln the latest and most modern radar and navigation equipment.

-Alberton Women's Institute held its March meeting at the home of Mrs. I-ierbut Champion with Mrs. Joseph Oallaghan pre- siding. The meeting opened with the singing of "School Days" and recitation of the Creed. The roll was answered with "The best book I ever read."

Minutes of the last monthly meeting and of an executive meet- ing were read and approved. The secretary. Mrs. Arthur Wilkie, re- ported on the insurance policies now held on the hall.

Mrs. Hubert Campbell and Mrs. Erskine Hardy reported on their monthly visit to the school. Dur- ing the past month a dictionary and a. campus have been secured for one room. Visiting done by the members included as home and 24 hospital calls.

The Hall Committee reported one rental and one use of the hall by the scouts for the showing of a film. on motion it was decided that five dollars be donated to Eu- ropean fiood,i-eiief and an equal amount to the Red Orou. corre- spondenoe was dealt with as neces- sary. Mrs. Eric Corbett. treasurer. reported a substantial balance on hand.
