Couple Observe Their 50th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. John H. Walker, Rensington observed the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage at their home on Tuesday, Septem- ber 30.

A family dinner was servedat I p.m.. and later in the evening near relatives and a few close friends gathered to add 'their felicitations on this auspictous occasion. They were the reapi— ants of many cards and gifts in— cluding a beautifully decorated wedding cake presented by Mrs. Walker’s cousin, Mrs. Alice

Turner.

Mr. and Mrs. Walker have one son Roscoe of Kensington. a daughter. Lillian, Mrs. Fred Jeffrey, Hunter River. four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Walker was the firmer Annabell-a Crozier and the couple were harried at West Devon Methodist Church on Sep- tember 30, 1908. by the Rev. A. MacLeod assisted by the Rev. J. W. Howe. They have since made their home at the Walker homestead. Kensington.

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Woodside, (nee Edith Clark of Summer— oidel were waited on at their home at Clinton on Tuesday evening, September 30. when friends gathered to tender them a miscellaneous shower in honor of their recent marriage. Thr bride and groom were escorted to a seat of honor by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Woodside.

The well filled baskets 'were carried in by Faye Henderson and Wendy Woodside, and the parcels were opened by Mrs. Ian Henderson. Mrs. Hillard Woodside and Miss Geraldine Woodside read the gift card: and the many lovely gifts were arranged by Mrs. George Mac- Kay and Mrs. Roy Paynter. Stolen Safe Is Recovered

SUMMERSIDE ~—.- The 500 pound safe which was stolen from the store of J.P. Gaudet, Richmond. on the night of Sep- tember 7th, was found over the weekend on the Allen Road .by Norman Cameron, Summerside. Mr. Cameron happened to stop his car Sunday afternoon after proceeding about a quarter of a mile on the Allen Road, after leaving the Western Road, and spotted the safe in the ditch. (The Allen Road connects with the Western Road about a mile west of Ray’s Canteen).

The safe had been broken open that there had been no money in it when the theft oc- curred. However, the ledgers were contained in the safe and

Mrs. Cameron Is Honored
