HEREAS. on the night of Tuesday. the Sixth

day of July last. a certain building known as the “Hospital and Surgery and Quartermaster's Rooms," forming part of the Victoria. Barracks Buildings. and situate at Brighton. in the Common of Charlottetown. was consumed by ﬁre; and whereas. on the night of Saturday. the Fourteenth day of August. instant. a cer-

tain other Building. known as the ‘ Ofﬁcers‘ Quarters.‘

and other buildings in the rear thereof. and being also part of the said Victoria Barracks Buildings. were 'also consumed by fire; and whereas. it is apprehended that the said ﬁres originated by the wilful and felonious act of some evil disposed person or persons. at present un- discovered. Now. therefore. in order to the discovery and punishment of any person or persons guilty of any of the aforesaid atrocious actsof Incendiarism, I have thought ﬁt. by and with the advice and consent of Her Majesty’s Council. to proclaim; and I do hereby pro- claim and other a reward of THREE HUNDRED POUNDS, to any person or persons not the actual party to the act, who will give such information and evidence as will lead to the discovery. apprehension and conviction, ot the offender or offenders.

Given under my hand and the Great Seal of this Is- land. this Twenty-sixth day of August. in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty— m’ne. and in the thirty-third year of Her Majesty’s Reign.

UBLIC Notice is hereby given. that Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, Court of Assize, and general Jail delivery for Prince County, will be held at the Court House. in St. Eleanor’s. on Tuesday, the 5th day of October next, at the hour of ten o'clock, fore- noon. of the same day. of which. all Justices. Coroners. High and Petit Constables and Bailiﬁ‘s, will take notice. and, laying aside all manner of business and excuses whatsoever, be then and there to do and fulﬁl those things which by reason of their several Oﬁices shall be to be done. In order to prevent inconvenience in the arrangement of classes. it is desirable that all students intending to enter for the ensuing term, should be in attendance within the ﬁrst week from the opening.
