Kensington Lady Dies

KENSINGTON — The _ death. of Mrs. James B. Profitt occur-l red at Charlottetown, Snnday.i Dec. 30 at the age of 83. The‘ former Mira Grace Warren. she ‘ was born at Burlington Sept. 30, ‘ 1879. a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Warren.

In early life sh rried James B. Profitt and they lived and farmed at French River for a short time and later moved to Kensington where Mr. Profitt was manager of the Kensington Branch of M.F. Schurman Ltd. until his death in 1935.

e late Mrs. Profitt wa a. prominent in welfare work and was especially interested in the Kensington Branch of the Pro~ testant Orphanage Auxiliary. She belonged to the Rebekah Lodge. also active in Kensing- ton at that time.

As a member of the Anglican Church. her interests were es- pecially centered in the Wom- an‘s Auxiliary. organized in the Kensington area in 1907. of which she was a charter mem- ber and one of the first officers.

Following her It s b a n d's death. Mrs. Profitt and her daughter. Jean moved to Sum- merside. She is survived by her only daughter Jean (Mrs. Ralph Ozoni Summerside. and five grandchildren. Ricky. Cheryl. Janet. James and Kent; also four sisters, Lydia (Mrs. Mor- rins‘nclark) and Mary Eunice

It might be possible to set up a plan among the federal and pro- vincial governments. the pro- cessing plants and the growers."

This province now has a po- tato crop insurance plan in which the two governments and

While in Ottawa, Mr. MacRae will also discuss federal'parti- cipation in a plan to pay Island grain growers compensation for grain that could not be harvest- ed in the past crop year because of weather conditions.
