These boys just want to have fun

Vancouver’s The Human Statues are spreading jubilation across the nation

Recently, I was given the pleasure of reviewing one of the most unique albums I have ever listened to. Hav- ing been compared to Simon and Garfunkel, the Human Statues music is_ interest- ing, different, and their own style.

The Human Statues is a “must listen” for anyone who is not afraid to listen to “all kinds of music”, and to try new things. The Human Statues are made up of Zach- ary Stevenson, and Jeff Bry- ant originally from Vancou- ver, but moved to Toronto to pursue a full-time music career.

Together Zachary and Jeff make up a 100 per cent folk- funk-pop duo (as they call themselves).

You are getting very sleepy.

Comedic hypnotist Tony Lee recently performed to a full house at The Wave as part of Sex Week, sponsored by the UPEI Student Union.

About a dozen brave stu- dents ventured onto the stage to be put under Lee’s spell. Comedy ensued.

Lee, who has performed

their love for music, their big sense of humour, and tons of energy to connect to every audience they play for. Every show they perform, is complete with a full set of choreography which if you watch any of their vid- eos on Youtube, it will show you that these two guys are not afraid to do “any kind” of a dance. They just want to have fun.

Their current album is self- titled, and is their first full- length band album. Every song on their album is dif- ferent and unique. I have to admit I. liked some songs more than others. Each song on their album tells a story. Whether it is about love, the majority of which are, life or the many different events that have happened in their lives.

Every song on this album is anew adventure from the last one. Their songs are about

over 2,000 gigs all around the world, said he never gets tired of putting people under his spell.

“Carol That I Know” is the first single off their album. The first single would have to be my favourite song on the album. I love the beat to this song. It is so catchy! This is the type of song that makes anyone want to get up and dance! (Or at least most people).
