WINNLPDG. Dec. 4 (OP)- Winnlpegis CBC television station will be the most powerful one in Canada, J. E. 1iayes.,CBC's assist- ant director of engineering in charge of TV, said Wednesday in an interview.

The Winnipeg station will have a power of 50,000 watts, with an effective reception range of about 75 miles. he said. Toronto and Montreal TV stations have an out- put of about 17,000 watts, with a smaller reception alien.

-The Anhual Meeting of Bordon Women's Institute was held, Nov- em-ber 4th at the home of Mrs. Frank Dorsey.

Seventeen members answered roll call by paying dues. Minutes of the last regular and annual meeting were read. approved and signed. The esident. Mrs N.B. Daracli, thanked all the members for their kind oo-operation. The treasurers report, showed total receipts 3847.67 and expenses 3833.70, leaving a balance on hand of s2l3.97.

The school committee. reported visiting all the school rooms and setting a list of raquirenieiits, which are to be purchased. The sick committee reported no one sick. The card committee turned in 325.00 proceeds from card parties, prizes amounting to s5.00.

The election of officers resulted 59 follows Mrs. Preston Darracli, president; Mrs Thomas Gallant, vice-president, Mrs Richard Da- vies, treasurer; Mrs. William Oyen, Mrs. William Mclvor and Mrs.J.J. BOWIMANVILLE. 0nt.. Dec. 4- (CP)-A young Korean veteran suffered severe stab wounds Tues- day in a brawl outside a hall at Manvers Station. 20 miles north- east of here, where a shows! was being held to celebrate his forth- coming marriage.

The veteran, 24-year-old Stanley Mccabe of Janetvllle, is in hospital at Peterborough. In addition -to three knife wounds in the smallof his back, he suffered a deep gash on the head. His condition today was described as slightly improved.

Wentzel Hendsby. 33, and Frank Derusha. 62, were charged here to- day with creating a disturbance. Police said more serious charges may follow.

It is believed Mccabe went out- side to break up a fight and was stabbed during the scuffle. Cause of the brawl is unknown. orphanage 35.00, '13. League 35.00, xhool prizes s25.00 and P. C.- Hospital 's25.00.
