The Cause not Yet Determined -An Inquest Held.

When Mr. and Mrs. John McRae of Nine Mile Creek were coming to town this morning, the latter’s attention was attracted by something unusual in the water at the Rocky Point wharf, on the west side. It was soon seen that the ob-~ ject was the body of aman.

The body was raised outof the water as soon as possible. It proved to be that of Mr. James MeKenna, of Hazel Grove. Mr. McKenna was in town on Tuesday last. He had tea at the residence of his sister Mrs Weatherbie, whom he told that he was going to Rocky Point. He was seen on Rocky Point wharfat about 8 o’clock on Tursday evening,—and that is the last that is known concerning him.

There is a bad bruise about the ey2 and an ugly wound ip the head, But whether these wounds were the result ofviolence before death or whether they were received when the unfortunate man fell into the! dock bas not yet been determined.
