NEW CAMPUS POLICE. POLICY MINORS To FACE
Mike Kennedy, the UPEI Student Union Ourptroller in an interview with the SUN stated that "effective January lst 1978, no one, I repeat no one, will be allowed into a Student Union licensed event with— out a photo I.D."
The Student Union Policy at present is that stu— dent I.D.'s must be pre- sented at the door. Stu- dent I.D's are photo I.D.s
but the problem arises when a student tries to sign in a date or friend. . What satetimes happens is tl’e person that is being signed in does not have a photo I.D. All that is required by law is that the person present three pieces of identification, one of these being a birth certificate.

“Although there is an advance sale of tickets for Winter Carnival this year, holding a ticket do- esn't mean a person will be allowed into all events. Campus Police will be chec- king I.D. 's at the door. Anyone under 18 will not be allowed into licensed events."
Mike Kennedy became Co- mptroller of the Student Union during the General Elections of February 77. He is responsible for Cam— pus Police, Bartenders, the Barn and all Student Union Licensed events.
