Having completed one year with the Student Union, I feel I should make some form

Enclosed is a statement from 31 Dec. 73 which has been projected to the end \ of the Student Union fiscal year, 28 Feb. 74. I regret to comment that it does not show a rosy picture inasmuch as we will be behind about

I also believe that a budget should be submitted by each ck=ir~ man of a committee within\ the first month of his app- ointment and that the sub— miSSion should be checked by a‘Budget Committee which would pass on it considering the registration and income then in effect. All charges to tiis activity should be approved byvthe Chairman & once the limit of eXpendit- ure was reached the activi- ty should cease.

With costs rising in all phases of‘activity it may, be that S.U. fees should be raised by $10., with the hope of increased regis- tration in September '74 it may be that the University

The high price of the mov- ie alone has also been a constant complaint, and usually heard strongest fr- om students, who no longer get a discount. The students of Nova Scotia have banded together to try and stop the injustice. They plan to boy- cott and picket all the th- eatres in the province till the price goes down. If they are successful it should ‘ be a very good example of what can be done to-remedy the situation-ie .
