Following. I parcel post sale was held with genial Past Grand Mast- er John A. MacNair as auctioneer. assisted by Bro. Alfred Frizul. when a most satisfactory amount was realized tor the Lodge's work of benevolence.

A delicious lunch was served by the committee under the convenor- ship of Mrs. Sarah Gillespie P.N.G. and a social hour enjoyed.

Former Islander Dies In Halifax

The death occurred in Victoria General Hoslptal on July 19th of Victor J. Cobb in his 56th year.

A native of Midgell. P. E. 1.. son of Alexander and Jane iMacNeil) Cobb. MI. Cobb had lived in Hall- fax for the past 12 years. He was employed as a. freight handler with Eastern Stevedorlng Company Limited.

The meeting was opened with the League Prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved and two new members were welcomed. The members were advised that the party sale held recently was A success.

Donations were requested for the Annual Xmas box for the Orphanage. Members were asked to bring clothing and toys to the next meeting. -

The Act of Consecratlon was recited to bring the meeting to an end. A social hour followed.
