The bodies of 54-year-old James | MacDonald and his 41-year-old| wife were found in their frame| home on the island, a tiny fish- | ing community 15 miles off the coast.

Dr. Sutherland said a small fire, apparently centred in the mattress, had broken out in the home. He said the couple had been overcome by smoke. There will be no inquest.

Word of the deaths reached here about 3 p.m. Thursday. In- vestigation required a slow boat trip to the island and back, and the coroner’s findings were de- layed until 11:30 p.m.

About 35 families live on the island.

Time of death was not estab- lished. MacDonald, however, was seen here Wednesday. He worked as a part-time fisherman and carpenter's helper.

Misprint’ Stamp Issue Unknown

OTTAWA (CP) — Post office unaware of the existence of an- other batch of misprinted Seaway stamps said to have been discov- ered by Winnipeg dealer Kasimir Bileski.

Mr. Bileski said in Toronto Tuesday night-the stamps, worth perhaps $100 each, apparently went through the press twice. He termed them “double seaway” stamps. Some months ago a niim- ber.of “‘inverted seaway’ stamps were discovered which brought about $500 on the colle<cor’s mar- ket.

The post office said nothing had been seen or heard here sug- gesting there had been another misprint.
