St. John's. Next week they'll be back home.

And apparently Princess Eliz- abeth isn't worrying about her delayed Christmas shopping for Prince Charles and Princess Anne. Lady-In-Waiting Was Just In Time

HALIFAX. Nov. 8 -(CP)- Prlncess Elizabeth was slightly worried tonight at the last minute before departure at 11:00 p. in.. A.S.T, for Charlottetown.

The Royal Couple said farewell to Lieutenant Governor J. A. D. Mccurdy and Premier Angus 1.. Macdonald and their wives.

Then, as they turned to board the train, Elizabeth turned to her husband and said. "she Just isn't here. She Just isn't here."

She clapped her hand slightly both times. giving emphasis to her words.

The cause of her anxiety was her lady-in-waiting, who some- how had lagged behind the royal party and caught the train just tr. time.

As the train pulled out of the rail yards, the stars twlnkled over- head. It was the first time during their 30-hour stay in Halifax that it hadn't rained.

Commons Gives Pensions Bill Final Reading

OTTAWA. Nov. 8 - (CP) - Legislation to provide universal pensions st 70 received third and final reading in the Commons to- day after weathering a final op- position assault on some of its provisions and a, C.C.F. attempt tolichange the method of firianclng the payments. l

2. Progressive Conservative and Social Credit spokesmen argued I two-per-cent sales tax at the manufacturer's level. another part of the finariclnl. is a hidden tax and also would be pyrlmlded heavily by the time it reaches the consumer.

3. C. C. F. and Social Credit memiber. said the Mo pension 18 not adequate.

VATICAN CITY. Nov. 0 - (Reuters) - The Pope will call a secret conslstory Dec. 10 to name new princes of the Roman cath- olic Church to the depleted O01- lege of cardinals, it was report- ed today.

This long-delayed. conslsiory. first expected nearly two years ago, will be the second called by the present Pope for the creation of Cardinals.

The first. in February, 1946. saw the nomination of the record number of 32 cardinals.
