Ron:Maybe two days after this. Cadre:What effect do you see the student action as having? I Ron:Well,to tell you the truth,this student action right now,Indon't think would be as good as stay— ing in the Class,and just using the university and making the university ad—' ministration realiZe that they need Maintenance to run the university‘but I'm a union member and the union has decided to go on strike,so I'm going on strike. from efficient,especially because the cafeteria
was still open.Kurt Forres- ter,head chef of the cafe— eteria felt that the student action was completely ‘ backward.In his opinion
the admin. would suffer most if the cafeteria

For me ,the matter of a campus shut down is one of several principles.0ne is a basic fair and equit— able wage for the workers concerned in relation to what other workers are making in the maritimes, generally,and at this university.For me it is a matter of the decision mak— ing structures who decides things at the university . Since these,for me,are very grave questions,there is no time limit that I, would put on the resolution of either of them.

Ted Crockett,(4th Business) was convinced of real effects rof the pickettihg such as: "The administration's not smiling anymore so I think they are getting abit worried."He felt the strike would certainly not last until Christmas.His other ‘ comment;"I think each student out here appreciat- _es the other students for comming out to picket and keeping the other people company in lines.C.I.M.N. could have been out here a little bit more giving us some music.Alot of stud— ents who did come out found out it's not as bad as everybody thinks it is. They are having alot of fun along with doing what they? believe in,along with serving the purpose".
