Winners of the crow shoot spon- sored by the branch were presented prizes by Mr. Macbeod. who re- vealed that approximately 700 crows were shot during the com- petitions. This number, he said. is about five hundred below last year's shoot.

Mr. Leland Campbell of Sea View won first prize for shooting 150 crows and received a cash award and several boxes of shells. second prize went to George Carr of Travellers Rest. who killed 93 and he was awarded cash and a hunt- ing knife. Earl Taylor of Malpeque came third in the shoot with 88 Crows to his credit and received a fishing net.

In the Junior competition Lowell Palmer of Summerside received a cash award and a fishing reel for shooting down 72 crows. Ira Banks was chosen to head a committee to arrange for a duck and goose calling competition to be held as soon as possible.

After the business meeting closed interesting fishing and hunting films were screened. -S.

The commanding officer. RCAF Station Summerside. announced to- day that Flight Licutenant C. Shea, Roman Catholic chaplain. has been transferred to REAP Station win- nipeg. Manitoba, and will be leaving his native province early in the new year. Flight Lieutenant Shea is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Shea of Tignlsh, and prior to en- listing in the RCAF in 1954. he served at Kinkora. Prince Edward Island.

At the time of his enlistment a year ago. Father Shea was the youngest chaplain in the Canadian armed forces. After indoctrination training at London. Ontario. he was transferred to Summerside where he has gained many friends among the officers and airmen at this station.

Flight Lieutenant Shea will be replaced by Flight Lieutenant J. Warren of Niagara Falls. Ontario, who is presently stationed at the radar and communications school in Clinton. Ontario.

All evening he was kept busy an- swering the calls of the hundreds of eager young children. all very anxious to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Santa. how- ever. was equal to the occasion and each individual child received a warm greeting and the assurance that their old friend would bring them something really worth while to fill their stockings on Christmas eve.

"The list grows and grows each year." he chuckled. but strangely enough this seemed to please him all the more. "There are plenty of good things stored here-for good boys and girls," he went on. "and as I always say, the more the merrier Christmas."
