After breakfast, the next morning, he re- peated the declaration ; and sure enough. precisely at four o'clock he dropped dead. He also predicted that a terrible storm would sweep ovcr the country on the seventh of August.

A woman in Chicago who recently ap- plied for a divorce on the ground ol ill- treatment by her husband, alleges that she was the nurse of his fomcr wife, who died only four weeks previously; that he courted her while she was thus employed, married a week after the funeral, iind began to abuse her in a week after their marriage.
