In all, Canada supplied muni- tions to the value of $1100 mil- lions lncluding 63 million shells and 44 million shell cases.

He is survived by his second wife, the former Mrs. Gladys Houston; one son, Alfred, a resi- dent of Charlottetown; and one dalughtcr, Lorna. Mn‘s- Murdoch McGowan, Kilmiur.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed at a late hour last night.

The funeral of the late Ernest M. Sanderson was held yesterday afternoon from his late residence at Greenwich where services were conducted by Rev. J .M. Sheen. During the service the choir sang “The Beautiful Land.” .

MONTAGUE —- The funeral of the late Captain George Lake, who passed away in Montague on Saturday was held from Trinity United Church on Tuesday Sep- tember 23rd.

Rev. J .M. Fraser conducted the service assisted by Rev. D.A, Campbell of St. Andrews Presby- terian Church who read the scrip- ture lesson and also lead in pray- er.

Taking as his text Matthew 14:25, “In the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea." Mr. Fraser gave a solacing message to the bereaved relatives.

rIlhe hymns sung were “The Lord’s My Shepherd,” “Abide With Me,” and “The Beautiful Garden of Prayer", with the solo part being taken by Mrs. Arnold Wightman.

The legion service at the grave was conducted by Comrade Millar Matheson with Bugler George Boudreault sounding the Last Post and Reveille.

The Masonic Service was under the direction of brother Larry Johnctone.
