3. An increase of 3 cents per gallon in the cost of gasoline. H 4. An increase of T cent per package for cigarettes.

5. A colossal 20 cents per day increase in Old Age Pensions.

6. A stupendous 3 I-3 cents per day increase in Family Allowances. 7. A curt "take it or leave it" from the Dominion Government in respect to tax-sharing agreements. ' H

8. A refusal of any action to assist the farmers and potato growers to obtain fair prices for their products and a fair share of national income -

A PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE GOVERNMEN IS PLEDGED T0 4

I. Take action to improve the condition of agriculture by, among other things, maintaining a flexible price support program to ensure an adequate return for agricultural producers based on a fair price-cost relationship, and by W 0 safe guarding our producers from unwarranted importations of agricultural products, such as butter & potatoes;

2. Review immediately all national labour legislation and provide for increased benefits and extension of the If i benefit period to 52 weeks under the Unemployment Insurance Act; g ! .

3. Increase Old Age Pensions to a figure high enough to meet the needs of our older citizens, and make the nec- I , essary adiustments thereafter on a cost-of-living basis;

4. Provide a hospital insurance scheme ensuring fair treatment to all patients, regardless of the type of illness;

5. Reduce those taxes which bear heavily on persons in the low income bracket; in

6. Provide for a more equitable share of tax yields for the provinces and municipalities. I
