Mathe- son has regret-fully been compelled to tender his resignation. Since before Church Union on June 10th 19%, Mr. Matheson has been the treasurer for the following Minist- ers, Rev. The bride was winsome in a Copen blue crepe. street length dress with silver lox capo and black accessories. she wore a corsage of pink roses. Her bride maid, Miss Jenn MacDonald wore a pretty dress of rust. crepe with mink ncck- piece and brown accessories and a rorsage of red roses. The groom was supported by Mr. Ge aid Gallant. of Point Du Chene.

Following the wedding. the bridal party left on the msrning ferry for a motor trip through the Mari- tintes. returning to Borden in the evening when a reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Colin Mclnnis. On Wednesday evening the com- munity centre will be the site of a gala Bingo Nite. This large un- dertaking, sponsored by the 6.1.5. blues, promises to fill all avail- able chairs and tables, The first of these series of Bingo evenings was held in early December and proved to be a great success, but it will be a drop in the bucket as compared to this evening's turn out.

The committees responsible for

the arrangements have gone to a lot of trouble to ensure the patrons 0f a smooth running evening pack- ed with excitement and pleasure. The drill hall will be well heated and there is no fear of catching pneumonia. There will also be cloak room facilities and the snack bar will remain open throughout the session of play and till the last customer leaves. The former parade square will be made av- ailable for parking facilities. Masters of Ceremonies for the evenings enjoyment are Flying Officer D. Sherridan and Flying Officer A.W. Wilson. The prizes committee have been racking their brains in an effort to select the most suitable gifts available. This evening of fun and thrills open to the general public. The .N.S. ment. The feature was Des Pac- quet, the golden-voiced narrator, u ho read "The Last Lesson", a

well-known short story written ‘J1: the eminent French author, Al- phonse Daudet. There have been many favorable comments on Dess voice und the way he handled the story. On the other hand there -iiav~. also been several caustic remarks regarding the accent of the straight-laced announcer, Frank Bones. He suspects that it is jeal- ousy on the part of the inariicu- late.

Plans for the future include I half hour program to assist in raising funds for the Canadian March of Dimes, This will be an extra special show which will bl‘, held In the third week of the month. .
