On Wednesday two houses at Woodstock, N. B., owned by George Smith and Owen Kelly, were destroyed by fire; and at Kent- ville, N. S., on the same day, one owned by 8, R, Thorpe was destroyed by the same cause.

Cuas. E. Lerurcey, son of Hon. J. Le- furgey, Summerside, completed his final ex- amination at the Commercial College, and re- ceived a diploma on the 6th inst. G. W. Mrivuer, of Georgetown Royalty, sends the following advertisement to the King’s County Advertiser: ‘‘On Sunday night, the 25th inst., my son “Isaac, a boy in his seventeenth year, left his home during the night, taking with him an old flint-lock mus- ket, as he stated to his little brother that he and Willie McLaren and a McPhee boy were going to shoot some ducks or brant. (Who is this McPhee boy or alias?) It now appears that Willie McLaren was not in his company, nor he§did not ever see him on that occasion. Since noon on Monday I have made diligent search, and no information can be obtained of his whereabouts. fle had ona suit of grey factory cloth and black felt hat; the waist- band of his pants and the buckle straps at the back were bound with scarlet binding. The boy was very tall and muscular for his age, light hair, inclined to curl, and cut short. He would stand nearly six feet high, and very sociable in conversation. As the circum. stances are very suspicious looking, I feel very uneasy, and any information that will lead to his whereabouts, either living or dead, will be thankfully received and saltably rewarded.”
