BOTH AP?EALS ALLOWED,

Orrawa, June 19.

The Supreme Court of Canada, to-day; gave judgment in the case of Morris vs. the Liquidators of the Bank of Prince Edward Island. The appeal has been allowed and the judgment of Judge Peters, of Prince Edward Island, reversed, with costs, The liability of the Shareholders of the insolvent Bank is fixed at sixty-four dollars and eighty eight cents.

In the case of the Merchants Bank of Halifax against Peter S. McNutt, an ap- peal from the unanimous decision of the Supreme Court of Prince Eiward Island, the appeal has also been allowed, and the jadgment of the Supreme Court of Prince Edward Island set aside, with costs.

The Sunderland Horror.

M. Tricot, ringleader of anarchists in Lyons, France, has been arrested for taking part in che demonstration in Ricameric cemetery, on which cecasion he delivered a violent harangue.

A Paris despatch says President Grevy is opposed to taking extreme measures against Annam, as he does not wish to alienate the sympathy of England and America. Prime Minister Ferry favors an energetic course.

It is*reported that a battle was fought on Friday between the Turks and the Albani- ans in the Hotti district. It is said that the killed and wounded on the Turkish side number 250 and that the Albanians also suffered heavily.

The trial of seventeen members of the Black Hand Society, for the assasination of a man named Benacoaz, a member of the society, who was suspected by the chiefs to be ready to turn informer, was concluded on the 18th inst. Seven of the prisoners were found guilty and sentenced to death ; eight were seutenced to 17 years imprison- ment, and two were acquitted.

The arrest at Schoneberg of M. Krake- wiski, the Polish author, has caused & sen- sation in political circles. The discov of revolutionary documents in Krasenisti's house at Dresden led to the argest of a pro- minent telegraph official who ‘was formerly captain in the Prussian army. He was ar- rested for high treason. His name has been suppressed from publication.
