HE MAILS for the United Kingdom, the neighbouring Provinces, United States, &c., will, until further notice, be closed at the General Post Oflice, Charlottetown, as follows, viz: For Canada, New Brunswick and the United States, via She- diac, every TUESDAY and FRIDAY evening, at 8 o’clock. For Nova Scotia, via Pietou, every MO NDAY, WEDNESDAY, and FRIDAY evening at 8 o’clock. For Great Britain, Newfoundland, and the West Indies, every alternate MONDAY and WEDNESDAY evening at 8 o'clock, as follows, viz :—

FIXED LIGHT IN GASPE BAY.

‘HE Trinity House at Quebec has given Notice that during

the season the navigation is open, a Light will be exhibited

on the Peninsula in Gaspe Bay, 12 miles N. W. by N. from Cape Gaspc.

The light is a. fixed white licht, elevated ‘10 feet above the level of the sea, with the follomng bearings from it :—

Cape lIaldimand, South. Gaspe Basin, W. I, S. The light is intended to serve as a guide to vessels passing between Sandy Beach and the main land Opposite.

SHERIFF‘S SALES. Y virtue of a Writ of Ficri Facias to me directed, issued outof Her Majesty’s Supreme Court 01 Judicature, at the suit of John Bovyer against John Stewart, 1 have taken and seized, as the property of the said John Stewart, all the right,title and leasehold interest of the said John Stewart in and to Thirty- six acres of Land (more or less.) with Dwelling house and burn thereon, situate on Township Number Forty-eight, in Queen‘s County; and 1 do hereby give Public Notice, that 1 will, on Wednesday, the Fifiteenth day of January, 1868. at twelve o'clock, noon, at the Court House, in Charlottetown, in the said County, set up and sell, at Public Auction, the said pro. petty, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being for Thirty-seven pounds ten shillings and eight pence, and interest on Thirty-four pounds ten shillings and eight pence until paid, with Sheriff's fees and incidental expenses. Y virtue of a writ of Statute Execution to me directed. issued out of Her Majesty's Supreme Court ofJudicature, at the suitof Isaac Burpee and Frederick Burpce against Alex« andcr Waugh, 1 have taken and seized as the property of the said Alexander Waugh all the Right, Title, and Freehold interest of the said Alexander Waugh in and to One Hundred and fifty acres of Land, more or less together with the build- ings and improvements thereon, situate at Blue Shank, Lot or Tovmship No. 19, adjoining the farm in the possession of James Connels ; also all the right, title and Leasehold interest of the said Alexander Waugh in and to a Building Lot, with the buildings and improvements thereon, situate on Water Street, in Summerside, adjoining the residence ofllarry C. Green. Esq. ; also all the right, title and interest of the said Alexander Waugh in and to a. Building Lot situated on the corner of Water and South Streets, in Summerside aforesaid, at present in the occupation of the said Alexander Waugh and divers other tenants; all of the above property being in Prince County; and I do hereby give Public Notice that I will, on the 25th day of January, 1868, at 12 o'clock, noon. at the Court House, in St. Eleanor's, in the said County, set up and sell, at Public Auction, the said Property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the Levy marked on the said Writ, being £274 33 4d, cy, with lawful interest on the sum of £27133 4d, from the 14th January, 1867, until paid, also 163 8d for said writ, besides Sheritf's fees and incidental expenses.
