The woodwork in Mr. Bennett's privat: room is cherry, the cabin is mahogany, and the main saloon English cak. Mr. Bennett's room will coutain a bed, which it is said will cost over $1,000. A COMPLIMENTARY DINNER was, last night, tendered Mr. John H. Longworth by his fel. low boarders at the Revere, and other

friends. About thirty-five gentlemen were present. James W. Richards, Kisq., occupied

the chair, and F. J. Conroy, Esq., acted as the efficient croupier. The usual standing toasts were given and responded to in happy terms. Ths repast prepared by the pro- prietoress of the Revere on the occasion was an excellent one and all appointments of the evening were ia every respect most com- lete. Speeches, songs and choruses en- ivened the proceediags, and after spend ing a most enjoyable evening, the arty broke up in the ‘twee sma’ hours.” Mr. Longworth leaves this city carrying with him the good wishes ef his many friends, and we join with them in cordialiy wishing him health and prosperity in bis new sphere.
