Supreme Sacrifice

"Died of Wounds" was the sad message contained in a telegram received b Mrs. John R. Saunders of Bloc id on October 5th. ad- vising that her son Pie. John J. had made the supreme sacrifice and together with many other loyal Canadians had laid down his life for his country. John had been in the service about two years and left Canadian shores on his 27th birthday-July 21st last. He was wounded in France on Sept. 17th and on the 22nd passed away.
