For two periods the re-vltallzed Islanders tore through the visitors at will and ran up a 1-0 score that was indicative of the play. In the last period they eased the pres- sure and the Hawks came through for three goals.

Stealing the spotlight alongwith Marshall and Bcllringer was Bul- let Bob Gray. lastinight playing on right wing in place of the in- jured Conny Bonhomme. Bob also played the point on the power at- tack and for his night's work. col- lected two goals and an assist.

The win gives the second place Islanders 54 points. six more than the third place Halifax Saintsand the Glace Bay Miners who also won their games last night.

For two periods the Islanders could do nothing wrong. In the middle period they were at their best form of the season as they swarmed around the over-worked Don Iiockhart. like bees around a hive. In the sandwich session they outshot the visitors 25-9.

The Marshall line collected ten scoring points.' Willis had four points, Gray and Bellringer three each. wait Pawlyshyn had two points. a goal and an assist while "Bucko" Trainor had an assist.

Bob Gray started the scoring by knocking ln Marshall's rebound it: 12:25 or the first period. Less titan two minutes later Walt Pawlyshyn made it 2-0 by tipping in Larry 'rravls' low slap shot.
