Farr ANNIE dazzles in her bloom, . . ¥ ‘ 4 , ye -

Apd charms th amazing eye,

Sweet Love has graced her fowery paths, And beauty shines of high.

Sweet be the charming, winning smiles, That grace her trom above 5 |

But sweeter far the heart that beats, And burns with pure! hove.

Exulting life, eprobed and fair, Enriched by such a prize,

As Annie lovely 18 her youth, And kind by natures ties.

i see her in the dewy morn, In splendor, full of joy; While lonely 1, in twilight eve, In weary pleasure sigh.

The dazzling, golden, sunny rays, Around her paths entwine,

For sweet to me my Joye with her, When 1 could name her mine,

I hear her charming, plaintive voice In every bird that sings;

t see her rosy cheeks in bloom In every flower that springs.

For me 1 hear a parting moan In every Warbling Stream), For Annie's love doth haunt me still in every midnight dream.

Why am I thus forlorn and sad For her that’s from me torn;
