LIGHTING Cnxswrrs-rows wire Gas, &c.—To. day, a Public Meeting was held to receive the Report of the Committee appointed, on a former day‘, to procure information, &c., relative to lig ting harlottetown with Gas. Much valua- ble information was communicated by the Com- mittee, wbo seemed to have spared no ins, in correspondence and otherwise, to have t o neces- sary details for insuring a prudent and success- ful carrying-out of the project. Resolutions were carried for establishing a Compan , opening a Subscription List, appointing a ommittee to obtain the names of rsons wishing to su scribe, and petitioning for an Act of Incorpora- tion. It is in contemplation to raise the sum of £0000 currency, in Shares of £5 each. One gentleman resent ofired to take shares to the amount of '1000.
