Lobster Fishing.

A MEETING of the Lobster Packers of |this Province was held in this vity last evening. Over sixty of the leading pack- ers from all parts of the Island, and a few from New Brunswick, were present. John Hughos, Esq., occupied the chair, and Mr. | A. J McInnis acted as Secretary. A-re- ‘solution moved by Malcom McFadyen and iseconded by Hon, P. Gavin, was carried unanimously. It was to the effect that the Dominion Government be requested to | remove all restrictions to lobster fishing on the Island coast—that fishermen be allowed to take lobsters im any season they think fit. A committee, consisting of Honbis. Samuel Prowse, Peter Gavin, and Messrs. John Hughes; John A. Matheson and Malcolm McFayden was eppointed to draw up a petition to the Dominion Government embodying the resolution.
