My advice for those travelers still determined to visit Nice is to not stay long, your money is best spent elsewhere. However, if you must remain - hop on the train and head a couple kilometers east. Your train will disappear into a tunnel, stopping at a cavernous terminal carved out of the innards of a moun- tain. Immediately, you will notice that you ain't in Kansas (France) | anymore - the walls have elegant carvings, the floor is marble, fancy royal paintings line the exit tunnel,

Christ even the air smells better - welcome to Monaco. Geographically, Monaco is one of the smallest countries in the world. With a beautiful natural envi- ronment, the city is partly built with- in the mountain while the rest is a projection on the sea, having reclaimed 31 hectares through sim- ply mind-blowing technical feats. Monaco is luxury and celebrity at its best. Fashion boutiques, glamourous hotels and restaurants, stadiums, and of course, the most luxurious cars in the world just start to describe what is contained within this tiny country.

France offers a solution for everyone's tastes. Whatever your reason for traveling, this country will provide more than enough destina- tions and excitement to keep your journey on course. Just a note: If you are a Canadian, I recommend that you have your flag on your pack while in France, or perhaps all of Europe. No offense to any of our brethren to the south, but tensions are a wee bit high these days.
