God of love. but God is a God of justice — When we truly love, then only can we sincerely forgive." IThe president thanked Mr. Davies, and the meet- ing closed with the benediction.

A social hour Ioliowed. when the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Keith Har- rington, served a delicious buifet supper. It had been learned that the day marked the anniversary of Mrs. Harrington's birth. and as she entered. bearing a beautiful birthday cake. the guests rose, and greeted her with the Birthday song, and wished her many happy re. turns oi the day. To iurther mark the event, Rev. Mr. Davies wrote, and read to the ceiebrant, a numerous and happy tribute in verse, and one and all thanked Mrs. Harrington and Mrs. Keith Harrington. for their delightful hospitality-Bur.

Special services commemorating Easter were observed in all Sum- merside churches yesterday, with large congregations in attendance.

At St. Paul's Catholic Church three Masses were celebrated with the high mass being sung by Rev. Father McLeod and the Easter sermon delivered by Rev. Howard Wight.

At the Church di Christ. Rev. William Bllson delivered a most eloquent sermon, taking for his text Revelation 1-18, "Behold Jesus Lives." In the evening Rev. Mr. Bilson delivered the closing message oi his ministry in Sum- merside prior to going to Saint John, N. B. Using the text, "Be- hold Jesus lives" he said that this was the simplest way oi explain- ing the resurrection. The knowledge that Jesus lives gives us an assur- ance and security for the present and the iuture.

Rev. Mr. Barrass said that this was not Paul's last word, that his final word was "but now is Christ risen" and everything worthwhile in life hero proclaims that Paul's last ward was God's word to man. Special Easter music under the direction oi Mr. John Leuty was rendered.

The ordinance of Baptism was administered to six candidates. Special Easter services were also held in the Presbyterian Church with the__c_eiebration oi the Lord's supper. Theme was "In Mommy's C‘ lan" and the anthem "God is a Spirit." In the evening a special service of prayer was held. The choir rendered the anthems "And When The Sabbath Was Past" by E. M. Btults, "Why Seek Ya The Living Among Tho Dead" Charles I-I. Masksll and "Send t Thy Light" by Charles Gounod. The ladies quartetto, Mrs. R. W. Wood, Mrs. W. E. Forbes, Mrs. Fred Bingham and Mrs. C. Prank- lyn Cameron, sang most beauti- fully "Christ 1s Risen." In the evening there was a. brief Easter sermonette.
