Phe Trastees of the school and a number of the parents of the children were present, all of whom were ,well pleased with the pre mpt answers and excellent deportiment of the pupils, At ,the request of the Trustees, Mr. McRae examined the classes in reading, with a view of ascertaining who read the best in each elass.

Moscow, Addington County, Ont., June 26.—While the little daughter of Wm, Carr, who lives about three miles from here, was gathering eggs at the barn she found one that had the following in raised figures and letters on the shell, which were very plain and distinct: —
