A funny thing happened on our way FROM the fOrum.... last Saturday, en route to the Fredericton arena our hockey team was in a grim mood. The previOus night, after holding the lead twice, they had lost Z-h in a game that they had ev- ery reaSOn to feel they should have won. These were BIG games on the Panther schedule and they knew that, in order to stay in conten- tion, they had to win to break even. After the 5-4 win they had little time to realise the implications as they had to rush to change and get on the bus with bare1y_enough time to make the Tormentine ferry.-Just as we started somebody (we 'think it was the ebullient Tom Hayward) shouted "Hey guyS...we can WIN this league now and have the playoffs at home"...in that short time the,atti- tudes changed from hoping to make the finals to the
