The small boys of the town, for the most prt enthusiastic and slangy admirers of the Junior Abegweits, were there iu elitheie glory and continually shouted advice and encouragement to their champions. The bill was kicked off shortly after ten o'clock and. a stubborn fight ensued. The ball was kept in ceaseless play, and although the P. W. C. forwards were much heavier thao theic oppouests, the first half ended with the game very slightly in favor of the Juniors. When the boys timed up for the s cond half, determination was written upou their features The ball, kicked off by the Abegweits, was well caught and returned Then a series of scrimm ges ensued that kept the forwards of both sides warm and excited, and forced the ball down to the Abegweit's goal.
