Pea Harvest To Start Next Week
The harvesting and processing of peas .is expected to get under- way the first of next week ac- cording to R. J. Heatherington, Manager of Prince Edward Is- land Frosted Foods, Ltd., at Sherwood. Other crops will fol- low as they mature.
The plant discontinued the processing of strawberries on Wednesday of this week. Mr. Heatherington said only 50 per cent of the intended berry quota was processed due to the poor quality of the fruit this season.
