DEAR DOROTHY DIX: My husband's father died about 20 years ago and since that time he has supported his mother and reared his now 3-year-old brother. Brother-in-law is in the service and has been married l8 months. I have been a good wife to my hudaand. work- ed hard, and done everything I could to help him along. He claims to be perfectly happy and pleased with his marriage, but the baby and I play second" fiddle to his mother and his brother.

When he gets a few days‘ leave he wants to go home to see his mother every time. I-Ie never takes a furlough unless his brother can be home at ex- actly the same time so they can be together. His brother drives our car around while we ride the bus or stay at liomc. We can never go home unless we are loaded with groceries for his mother, using our badly needed ration points and cash.

DEAR MISS DIX: I have riiuays been told how attractive I am. though I try to make myself look plain. I have always had many boy friends anti refused proposals from some of the most desirable men in our city.
